METALLICA cradle JAMES HETFIELD is struggling to stay on off alcoholic beverage as the band embark on another world spell.
The singer is a convalescent alcoholic, wHO has managed 12 years without booze.
But he admits its a hard temptation to stand - peculiarly when the band is on the road.
Hetfield says, "The temptation to drink is with me for ever. When you've through something a certain room for so long, doing it a different way is hard.
"You start to doubt yourself. I'll ne'er be cured. It's i of those things that I'll make to deal with all my lifetime."
